Nebraska 2026 candidates for public office attend forum and respond to higher education survey

A candidate forum was hosted on September 19 by the Nebraska AAUP State Conference and the Academic Freedom Coalition of Nebraska Annual Fall Meeting.

It’s never been more important to restore public trust and transparency in higher education, and yesterday’s forum is an important part of having meaningful conversations with our faculty.

"As Regent, I’ll advocate for radical transparency, clear institutional priorities, and meaningful faculty participation in major system decisions—from technology modernization to structural change. Faculty should not simply be informed of change. They should help lead it."
